Two thirds of voters said they would support some form of assisted dying legislation in the UK, according to a new WeThink poll.

Of the 67% who backed a form of assisted dying, 42% would support assisted dying for both mental and physical illnesses, with 25% supporting assisted dying for physical illnesses only.

Only 16% said they would not support any assisted dying legislation while 16% said they didn’t know.

WeThink polled Brits about the controversial policy after the Health and Social Care Committee said there is evidence that assisted dying policies have led to better end-of-life care in countries where it is allowed.
